Well it finally arrived, all the way from the good ol' USA. It may not be dayglo pink but it certainly is bright! Had it not been for the failing light when we put it up then I'm sure that sunglasses would have been required. Just to capture the moment we had the pic opposite taken, please notice that Derrick has tea and I don't. For those who like to know it's a GOLITE HEX3, where on earth the third "man" is supposed to go is a mystery, as you can clearly see there is no room to swing a cat. It weighs in at under six pounds, complete which is something to grin about. I suppose the next thing will be testing it out. I can feel a weekend jaunt coming on. On the subject of jaunts, I've just returned fro
Our first dance is this Saturday which is a sell out, all 120 tickets are gone and I can't wait to see how the night goes with our ageing rockers "Mid Life Crisis" blazing the way with their live music. be sure to see the pics from that soon.

Good choice on the Golite Hex, guys - when I'm not working at Justgiving I like to do just what you guys are up to - though not for a 50 day stretch! I see you got the inner nest too: good call, since without it the Hex can get a little draughty! Good luck...

Thanks for your comment Tom, its great to get some feed back. We dont get many comments or advice from folk. We welcome ideas for fund raising and light weight kit along with general comments about our venture and blog content.

Hi Guys
I stumbled across your justgiving site when checking up on my own. What a hugh task you have set yourselves and I wish you the best of luck. It puts running the London Marathon into perspective!! Have you thought of having an auction at your dance? My friend Carol (who ran the Marathon with me) and I auctioned off some signed footballs that were given to us by 2 of the Big Scottish Teams. It made us quite a few quid. We also had a race night and even went to a car boot sale! This was a great laugh and again made us a few bob. It was very obvious we were new to Car boot sales and I think our entertainment value got us a few sales. So best of luck and I'll check your site again for future updates.
